Nura uses account details, profile preferences, messages, attachments, Care plan context, check-in responses, reminders, and summaries — the context needed to help you follow through between appointments.
How Nura uses what you share.
Nura only uses shared context to organise Care plans and follow up — so health advice doesn’t disappear after the visit.

That context is used to keep related details in one Care plan, schedule useful check-ins, prepare summaries, and keep supported channels (in-app, WhatsApp, voice) aligned with the same Care plan.
Attachments and media
Images, files, documents, and voice notes are treated as context for the relevant Care plan. Nura keeps media within what you shared or confirmed — it does not invent clinical advice from documents alone.
Apple Health and Health Connect
If you connect Apple Health or Health Connect, Nura reads steps, sleep, resting heart rate, weight and blood pressure — only the types you allow, and never writes back. It keeps daily summaries for up to 90 days and uses them only to make your check-ins more personal: a short summary of what has changed goes to Anthropic for written check-ins and to ElevenLabs during voice calls, and Nura may check in when your sleep or activity has dropped well below your usual. It is never shown to your Care circle or used in calls to someone you care for, never put in notifications or on WhatsApp, and never used for ads or analytics. Disconnecting deletes it.
Sharing with your Care circle
Nothing is shared with anyone unless you invite them to a Care plan. A person you invite can see that plan’s title, pinned note, roadmap and check-in status so they can support you. They cannot see your messages with Nura, attachments, other Care plans or your contact details. Nura writes them a short update from that same plan information — you see exactly the same text — and, only if you turn it on for a plan, lets them know when a check-in is still not done a day later. These arrive in the app, by push and by email. If you pass a message on — typed on the plan, or confirmed after Nura reads it back to you on a call — they see exactly those words, never the rest of the conversation, and you can take it back. You can see who has access on the Care plan itself and remove them at any time.
What we don’t do with it
We don’t sell your health context. We don’t use it for advertising. Providers that help run Nura only receive what they need for their function, and may not use your health context for their own purposes.
Retention and deletion
Retention is under your control. From Me → Data & export you can download a complete copy of your health memory, or permanently delete your account and associated data. Both take effect immediately and cannot be undone.
